As I was sitting here deciding how to say "No" in Bisaya/Cebuano, I realized, there's many ways to do it, but there isn't just a "No" like we do in English.Ayaw ug hilabti na.
Noticed that both "ayaw" "wala" and "dili" are translated to "not". I cannot think of a one word equivalent which will translate to "No!" like when you're telling someone to not do anything. Maybe there is, I just cannot thunk it right now.
Translation: Do not touch that.
Dili ko gusto.
Translation: I do not like.
Wala na.
Translation: No more.
